Looking for bird carcasses for research at NCSU was created by Guest- Aurore Canoville
I just started a postdoctoral research project at the NC State University.
One of the aims of my project is to assess the structural and chemical variability of medullary bone (a specialized reproductive tissue lining the medullary cavity of skeletal elements in reproducing female birds) in birds (and more specifically ratites).
In order to do such work, I need to get access to carcasses of female birds that died during the laying cycle (from ovulation to laying of the final egg).
If you are willing to support our research by giving part or the complete carcass of a female bird that died during the laying cycle, please contact me through this forum.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you!
